Dr. Kayaalp was graduated from the School of Medicine at Ankara University in 1985 and completed his compulsory public service at Gaziantep SSK Hospital Orthopaedics Clinic. He joined Dışkapı SSK Hospital (II.) Orthopaedics Clinic and completed his residency in 1991. In the five years following his residency training, he continued to work as a consultant surgeon at the clinic with a focus on joint surgery. During this time, he attended various CME courses and clinical studies in the United States and Europe. In 1996, Dr. Kayaalp decided to continue his career in the private healthcare sector and founded the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Clinics of Gaziantep SANKO Hospital and Ankara Çankaya Hospital. During this period, he also assumed various administrative positions, including Chief of Surgery, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Çankaya Hospital. Dr. Kayaalp is currently a Member of the Medical Advisory Board of Çankaya Hospital and serves as the Chief of Orthopaedics Surgery with a team of 15 Orthopaedics and Traumatology surgeons.

Dr. Kayaalp was elected Member of Executive Board and President of Health Committee of Gençlerbirliği Sports Club for two terms, which competes in the top-tier Turkish Super Football League. He served as Member of Executive Board of Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery (TUSYAD) and President of TUSYAD’s Ankara Branch twice. He was appointed as the President of Sports Traumatology Branch of Turkish Orthopaedics and Traumatology Association (TOTBİD) and later served as Member of Executive Board and Secretary General of TOTBİD. Dr. Kayaalp founded Society of Preventive Hip Surgery and served as the Founding President. He is currently a Member of Medical Sector Board of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Member of Medical Board of Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF). He has published numerous articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals and is the author of twenty-two book chapters and two books.
